This Homam also supports a person in getting victory over Enemies and in Court Cases. In this Homam, an extensive Puja and Homam are carried out for Devi Durga

The Main procedure of the Nava Chandi Homam involves an entire recitation of the Durga Saptashati for 9 times and a Homam is performed with the 10th path of Durga Saptashati. In Durga Saptashati, there are 700 secret and powerful mantras recited in praise of Goddess Durga in which she defeats various demons. With recital of each of the 700 slokas, an "Ahuti" ( Offering ) is made to the Sacrificial Sacred Fire seeking the blessings of Devi Chandi

This Homam is performed by invoking all the navagrahas followed by the chanting of Durga Saptasati and then performing the Chandi havan to receive the blessings of Goddess Chandi. Navaratri festival, Fridays, Ashtami, Navami and Chaturdasi are particularly auspicious days to perform Chandi Homam
